This collection of interconnected augmentative communication pages is designed for adult users within a home environment. The package comprises over 102 pages, including 30 core word pages, covering a broad range of daily topics such as eating, drinking, emotions, needs, personal care, reading, music, entertainment, games, cooking, social interactions, and more.
Specifications include: adult age group, home setting, male voice using AT&T Natural Voice engine, US English language. The interface features a 4x4 grid layout and supports extensive customization and editing capabilities.
Notable features encompass an emphasis on core words for efficient communication, easy-to-use editing tools for personalization, and the ability to add an unlimited number of linked speaking pages. Users can acquire images directly through integrated camera functionality within each cell and access all preloaded images seamlessly.
The interface allows for dynamic display adjustments such as showing, dimming, or hiding cells with fully adjustable opacity. Dimmed cells remain active or can be disabled entirely as needed. A 'restore mode' ensures that deleted pages can be recovered to their original state from the initial set.
Audio output options include iOS built-in text-to-speech (TTS) with adjustable parameters—voice, rate, pitch, and volume—as well as recorded audio files. Users can configure distinct TTS settings for the user's voice and auditory preview in scanning mode. The system supports internationalization features including right-to-left text entry.
Word prediction is powered by a 150,000-word library with optional learning modules to track word usage frequency. Low-vision support includes magnification options ranging from 1x to 3x for both scanning and direct selection modes. Page previews and a search function facilitate navigation through the page set.
An undo function is available alongside a 30-day activity log compatible with AAC Institute's LAM format for user activity tracking. The system manages data logs with privacy controls and recording indicators; logs can be exported for printing, sharing, or analysis via PeRT.
Communication features enable sending messages via email or SMS/MMS through email. Backup options include page copying through iTunes File Sharing via USB cable and optional iCloud backup support.
Switch access is versatile, supporting one- and two-switch scanning modalities—including sequential and row/column scanning—as well as auditory previews. Compatibility extends to Bluetooth switches from brands such as RJ Cooper, AbleNet, Therapy Box, and Inclusive Technology.
